Style We Love: Justin Timberlake

Between the upcoming release of The 20/20 Experience, a marriage to Jessica Biel, and some well styled red carpet appearances, I can’t get Justin Timberlake‘s style (or Suit and Tie) out of my head. JT and Tom Ford must be BFFs or something because it seems every time we see Timberlake anymore he’s looking dapper in one of Ford’s latest looks, from his bold sartorial suit at the SAG Awards to those sharp tuxes he sported at the Grammys.

And how great is that SAG look? JT abandoned the boring black and white and pushed the envelope in this daring Tom Ford suit from his Spring ’13 collection. A well-tailored suit in a small brown and grey plaid was different enough to garner attention, but Timberlake wore it with a tonal gingham shirt, textured tie, AND printed pocket square. It looks like mixing patterns is going to be a big trend in menswear soon! The classic tuxedo, however, will never go out of style and only look better when they’re tailored by Tom Ford and worn with an over-sized bow tie and bold pocket squares…and even better-er when being worn by a singing and dancing Justin Timberlake. Unfortunately most guys don’t have many red carpet opportunities, but stealing some of Justin’s street style can be just as rewarding.

Ever since he successfully brought sexy back from wherever it went, Timberlake’s style is the epitome of effortlessly well dressed dude chic, usually seen in darker outfits with pops of color. Seen on the left with new wife Jessica Biel in charming blues, JT pulled the green from his plaid shirt and paired it with a matching hat and custom Nike iD kicks, and looks great on the right in a vintage-inspired band tee, dark denim, old school shades, and distressed leather shoes.

If you’re trying to dress like one of the most wanted men in the world, the first step is snagging some premium denim that fits like a dream- try these Big Star Pioneer Jeans. The next step is toppers- keep ‘em simple but look for pops of your favorite color. I like the blue and black colorway in the 7 Diamonds Taste of Soul Shirt for dressing up but the Lucky Brand Bob Dylan Tee is awesomely retro and perfect for casual outings. The key to killer style is all in the details, so match these pieces with your favorite kicks, a sharp watch, and some classically styled sunglasses to be the best dressed man in the room.
